This 1960 Fender Stratocaster features a truly rare Blonde ash body, maple neck, Brazilian "slab" rosewood fretboard, clay dot inlays, 3 ply celluloid pickguard and the original brown Fender hard shell case.The color on this Blonde has yellowed nicely and has opaqued to reveal beautiful character in the ash body's grain.This 1960 Fender Stratocaster is all original with the exception of the replaced bone nut, frets, 5 way switch ( original 3 way switch included ), replacement saddle height screws and springs, newer replacement tremolo springs. Also, while three of the tuners are original, the other three are period correct Kluson Deluxe single line tuners.Everything else is original. That includes the pots ( 304 stackpole pots date to 46th week of 1959 ), white "chicklet" capacitor, the cloth wire, pickguard, bridge with patent pending saddles, back plate, bridge cover, neck plate ( serial # 42900 ) and the original black back single coil pickups!This 1960 Stratocaster weighs in at 7.35 pounds.
